What I'm working on right now

Not so long ago, a good friend of mine was having trouble at work. He wasn’t enjoying the role, his managers were treating him like crap, and it was really affecting his health.

Then just when he thought things couldn’t get any worse, they made a false accusation of gross misconduct against him, threatening to dismiss him, which would have destroyed his career, devasted his livelihood, and plunged his family into absolute chaos. Unsurprisingly, he was at a complete loss as to what to do.

Fortunately, since we’re friends so he called me for legal advice. We spoke for a couple of hours and agreed on a good strategy for him to use with his employers. It worked! In fact, it worked so well that he withdrew the dismissal threat, gave him a great exit package, and he managed to get a new, far better job, just a few days later.

All this benefit from one phone call. Imagine what could have happened without it!

It got me thinking: what if there was an online service that people could use to get quick and convenient advice from a range o expert professionals – not just lawyers, but accountants, financial advisers, or business consultants? Imagine how much better decisions we would all make if we could be sure to get the right at advice at the right time.

So I started a company and that what I’m working on with my co-founder, Jarrod.

It’ll be tough cos it’s quite a complex endeavour. I’ll have to draw on all my own communication and public speaking advice to make sure the brand connects with people.
